So, wedding photography ... someone's got to do it :) It's an a real adrenalin rush for me. I still don't sleep well the night before, or the night afterwards thanks to the buzz. Being at the wedding is the fun part!!! The work comes afterwards when I spend hours retouching the photos and designing the albums. My office is either home-alone, so the gardener comes in for tea and banter, or a comfortable couch at my local coffee shop. It is wonderful walking into someone's home and seeing a framed photo that I've taken. It's a great honour to be part of what is such a special, fun and memorable day. This weekend I was seated at the Top Table next to the bride, savouring a serving of delicious pudding! I felt ever so slightly self-conscious, but the best way to appreciate a good gesture is to enjoy it! ... I'm loving it. |
